Executive Team

The following individuals comprise the Exervio Executive Team, which provides management oversight of the day-to-day business operations of the firm:

Jon Nance

Jon NanceJon has lived in Charlotte since graduating from the University of Virginia in 1991. He is an active leader in the Charlotte community and enjoys volunteering with the Dowd YMCA, Historic South End, the American Diabetes Association and the Charlotte Chamber Health Services Industry Council. Jon is also a certified personal fitness trainer at the Dowd YMCA.

Jon joined the Health Services practice at Andersen Consulting in 1991 and worked on large packaged software and process improvement initiatives for hospitals, physician practices and large health systems. Since co-founding Exervio in 2001, Jon has worked in the Software and Banking industries to manage the design and delivery of innovative business solutions.

Additionally Jon has authored white papers on Customer Relationship Management, Business Intelligence, and Change Methodology.

Mark Heisig

Mark HeisigMr. Heisig is a Vice President responsible for the Charlotte consulting operations for Exervio Management Consulting. Mr. Heisig has over 16 years of business management consulting experience including strategy planning, operational process assessment and improvement, and change management. Before joining Exervio, Mark was an Engagement Manager for the Mercer Consulting Group (Mercer Management & William M. Mercer) specializing in strategy development, business process design and organizational change management.

Mr. Heisig holds a B.A. from Indiana University as well as an M.B.A. from the University of Indianapolis. He serves as a board member for the Arts and Science Council whose mission is to build appreciation, participation and support for arts and culture in Charlotte-Mecklenburg. Mr. Heisig also participates in various business and community associations including the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce and National Association of Business Economics.

Edward “Pepper” Pounds

Pepper PoundsEdward “Pepper” Pounds has over fifteen years of business information systems experience including business development, major account planning, client services quality assurance, program / project management, custom / packaged systems implementation, system and process consolidation, mergers and acquisitions, fee / income optimization, and process re-engineering.

Mr. Pounds played an integral role in the establishment of Exervio Consulting as the leader of business development. As Vice President of Client Services and Strategic Partnerships for Exervio Consulting, Mr. Pounds has attracted and retained key clients and business relationships throughout the Professional Services and Financial Services Industries.

Pepper holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Mississippi and is an active member of the Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, the Harris YMCA, and First Baptist Church.

Reggie Hammond

Reggie Hammond Reggie Hammond has a long track record of engaging clients to develop and execute business strategies that are focused on driving business performance. For the past fourteen years, Mr. Hammond has brought his clients deep industry expertise, a healthy balance of business and technology solutions and a collaborative, teaming style that clients say distinguishes him from his peers.

Mr. Hammond joined Exervio to launch and manage its Atlanta Office and was originally attracted to the firm’s focus on client results first and foremost and to its culture, where team dynamics, entrepreneurial spirit and respect for the individual form the cornerstone of a healthy practice.

Prior to Exervio, Mr. Hammond spent thirteen years with Accenture where he developed and took to market their ERP Value Realization offering through the Global Business Solutions practice. As global offering lead, Mr. Hammond was responsible for gathering and advancing Accenture’s thought leadership on how to assess a client’s ERP benefits realized to date. This was particularly timely as many clients struggled with understanding whether or not their multi-million dollar investments had paid off and what capabilities represented additional value yet to be realized.

Mr. Hammond has worked primarily in Consumer and Industrial Goods having engaged companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Unilever, Hallmark, Earthgrains, Deluxe Checks, Victoria’s Secret Stores and Borden. His experience has migrated from Shop Floor “Just In Time” Reengineering to Process Reengineering (Michael Hammer) primarily in Demand Generation and Order Fulfillment to SAP implementation to business case development and benefits realization. He has also had substantial exposure to Chemicals and other natural resource companies including NOVA Chemicals, Shell Chemicals, Borden Chemicals and American Electric Power.

Mr. Hammond holds a B.S. in Marketing from Albany State University of Albany, Georgia and an MBA from The Ohio State University with dual emphasis in Operations in Finance. Mr. Hammond is on the Board of Directors for Create Your Dreams, a long term enrichment program for youths from underserved areas of Atlanta. He is also a board member for TechBridge, a non-profit technology solution provider for other non-profits. He is a mentor in the PathBuilders program for high potential young women in Atlanta and on the advisory board for UNIFEM Atlanta Chapter, a United Nations development fund for women and girls seeking to live free from violence, poverty and inequality.

Mr. Hammond is a mentor in the Georgia 100 program, which is focused on developing the leadership potential of high performing, middle-level management women. He also volunteers with the Washington Park Junior Tennis Academy in Historic West End. Mr. Hammond enjoys playing tennis, basketball and has recently begun playing golf.
